Real Sports: Trump Deported an Innocent Athlete. This Is His Story of Resistance.

Image
" Venezuelan immigrant Jerce Reyes got disappeared into El Salvador's notorious CECOT prison — all for having a Real Madrid tattoo. Even while surviving torture, he was able to envision hope and, correspondent Paola Ramos reports, become "everything Donald Trump doesn't want him to be." While FIFA is making some fiction themselves by giving President Donald Trump a peace award, here is one story about an asylum speaker, with many tattoos related to his love of his love of soccer and his family, who was sent to hell. All thanks to Pablo Torres of 'Pablo Torres Finds Out' and Paola Ramos for reporting and sharing this story.

Heated Rivalry; perfect mix of smut and sport

Image
There is no way I will encapsulate everything there is to say about Heated Rivalry (2025) . I mean, the show isn’t even completed yet! But right now it absolutely dominates my waking thoughts, as I know it does for so many of you, dear readers. The show, and the book series, are more than worthy of a deep-dive review into every facet, in large part because it is so very different from everything else on television. Heated Rivalry ’s writer and show runner Jacob Tierney has so perfectly stated over and over again that this is a story about sex, and two young men falling in love while having sex. He, along with the main stars Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie and the rest of the cast and crew, do not look down on the source material or The Game Changers series original fan base of mainly women readers. The sex is hot, and always consensual. We see multiple check-ins that enhance, not detract from, how fucking sexy it is. And social and personal issues that were brought up in the boo...

Review: The Brotherly Shove

Image
I really thought my second review would be short. Guess not. Media type: Short novel, just over the length of a novella How much completed: 43 percent of the book Genre: sports romance, MM romance novel, rom-com style book Rating of sport/s in the piece of media: 2/10 Rating of book overall: 3/10 I know there is a thing you do when something extremely embarrassing, like cringe-inducingly awkward happens while you are watching a movie or television show. Maybe you cover your face, maybe you yell or groan. Me? I make a face like I just sucked a lemon and look away from the screen. I found myself looking away with a lemon face multiple times while reading this book. Maybe, maybe the book isn’t actually as bad as I think. I was excited to read The Brotherly Shove when I read the premise, and the author can effectively move through scenes with competent writing, from a technical perspective. Our story is about two former teammates, and former best friends, who un...

Update: Dec. 7, 2025

Hello! This upcoming week will be my first actively posting anything, so I wanted to give a little bit of information about some of the projects I'm working on/am currently planning. Some of this may take awhile, but I don't really have a set plan for how long this will take, especially around my full-time job (currently in a bit of a lull), my part-time job (probably the busiest time of the year even though I really just cover a couple shifts every few months) and all of the holiday happenings and gifts (I have too many handmade gifts planned this year, like I really screwed myself over here!) But I've been wanting to start this blog for awhile, like for years. I kept putting it off because blogging keeps getting less and less popular.  That's a stupid reason not to do something I think will be fun and challenging. So I'm not putting it off any longer. I'm not waiting to find the perfect blogging system, or to have enough time to figure out the best posting sc...
